DIY Choker Necklaces

It is no secret, those who know me know that I love necklaces.  One of my favorite kind is chokers but I can never seem to find one that goes with my style.  So I went on a quest to make my own. I was elated with the outcome! I made three to start and I know that I will make more in the very near future. Here is what I used.

All materials were purchased from Hobby Lobby. Materials Black Lace 1/2 yard Cream Lace 1/2 yard Blue Ribbon - roll White Ribbon - roll Rhinestone Medallion String of pearls Velcro pallets - you can use jewelry clamps well. Needle and Thread Glue - I used hot glue gun but you can use E-600 or fabric glue

Measure the circumference of your neck. Cut your lace or ribbon about a 1/2in longer if you are using Velcro. You can cut it exact if you use jewelry clamps. If you are using medallion, measure to the center of your necklace and sew the medallion to the lace or ribbon. Do the same for the pearl string. Use fabric glue when combining lace and ribbon as I did with my blue and white choker. Once your design is how you want it, add fastener (Velcro) to the ends and you are done!
